Situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park Hollin Root Farm is a family run Bed and Breakfast set in beautiful, open countryside in the tiny peaceful hamlet of Garth Row, just off the A6 and only 3 miles from the historic market town of Kendal.
The accommodation comprises of 2 rooms with 1 on the Ground Floor which is flexible and can be taken as a Double/Twin/Triple or Family room ( up to 5 ). Our other room is a straight Double. Both rooms are fully en-suite and enjoy open views of our large landscaped gardens or fells in the distance, have tea/coffe making facilities and digital tv. Sorry, but we have no Single rooms.
Hollin Root Farm is a great base from which to unwind and explore the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales ( Lake Windermere is only 8 miles away ). We are popular as a stopover between England and Scotland too.
Packed lunches are available for those wishing to go off for a days walking. We are close to the 84 mile Dalesway National Trail running between Ilkley and Bowness on Windermere and have plenty of parking for guests use and safe storage for cycles. Children are welcome. Vegetarians happily catered for. We are Pet friendly and have Free WI - FI throughout our establishment.
